Not really. These are really really old relic pieces found in one of the oldest burial hills in Japan, containing beads and other jewerly balls.

I chopped the heads of hundreds of C. elegans today. As I cut them with needles under a microscope, I could see guts and gonards splashing out of the bodies.. and it made me feel really guilty. It reminded me of the time when I disected a live fish, without anesthesia, in an elementary school. I still remember the beating heart that was left alone inside of the fish body.. The science teacher then was a strict catholic and that’s one of the reasons I don’t trust catholics.
All my digital clocks and watches are set to 24 hour time. However, most of the people I interact with (Americans) are only fluent in the 12 hour dialect.
As a result, if someone asks me the time, I will look a clock at clock that says15:30 and without thinking I say “three thirty.”
In Italy, people will say “fifteen thirty” and I just get confused. I do the translation naturally but it only works one way.
