An idea for a challenging train station: An escalator that starts in the middle. Before that mid point, the steps are either motionless or belt conveyor-like.

to the contrary, you should go for it – -especially if you like going up the down escalator and vice versa. the really challenging station lets the station director set the level of challenge for a given period. the whole station can have a code color depending on how challenging it is on a given day.
“sorry I’m late, the tube was purple and my entrance station was blue today; it took an extra 10 min to get by the hurdles. good workout, though.”

I don’t remember how I found it, I have no idea what this place is, or what purpose it serves, or who mika is; but it seems far superior to every single blog I have ever seen!
