I sometimes confuse a sore subject with a sour subject.

Both seem to describe my feelings about the subject of interest pretty well.

    Wow, I was just talking about the word “sore” with Annika at work today, she asked me what you call it when you hurt after exercise. Apparently there’s a specific word for it in Swedish. Then she realized that there’s a word like “sore” that means “wound” and we ended up on etymonline. 🙂 I think it’s weird how the word can mean two similar but very different things – “pain” and “blister / wound”, I think it comes from converging Nordic and German meanings…

    hmm…I have never used etymonline. It looks useful.

    I have heard that getting soreness a few days after I exercise (instead of the next day) means that I’m getting old…is this true?
