Every time I heard someone mention that there is no speed limit on autobahn, I saw a speed limit sign.

You are confused because the speed signs on the autobahn refer to the minimum driving speed. Drivers are not allowed to drive slower than the speed limit.

100km/hr minimum! That’s really really fast…wow. I’ve never driven that fast on any roads.
