ibu

I went to a dentist and complained about this symptom I had a couple months ago. I told her that the pain went away eventually with ibuprofen. The dentist was a Japanese, so I said “aibupurofen”. As soon as she heard this word, I could see her trying very hard not to laugh.

On the way home, I kept thinking about why she laughed (or almost did). I’ve seen this word on the back of japanese pain pill boxes..what was so funny..hmm..

!

Then, I rememebered that it’s *ee*bupurofen in Japanese. That alone is not that funny. What was funny was probably the word “aibu”, which means “love rubbing”.

Love rubbing profen..I suppose that could ease some pain as well.
