I wonder where the elevator’s “I’m here” sound comes from.
I’m surprised that I never thought about it in the past.

In my dorm, the elevator’s “I’m here” sound is sometimes the “ding” everyone knows, and sometimes this loud, blaring, horrible sound like BWAAAAAAAAAAHHH. You never know which one, so it keeps you on your toes–although I found that one of my roommates always gets the BWWWWWWWAAAAAAH.

The one at work says in a breathless female voice ’11th floor – sorry to keep you waiting’ ARGH, it is so annoying. Mostly because she is lying, she likes to make me wait! 😉 Seriously a PING would be so much more tolerable…

My elevator is verrrry slow. Even if it wants to say ‘sorry to keep you waiting’, I imagine it’d be way too slow to reach my ears in time…
