Wikipedia told me that mosquitoes don’t really need blood but just drink it as a *supplement*.

I know. They got the supplement out of my forehead and now I have this huge itchy bump there. Grrr….

whereas black flies need the frisson of pain they give you to sustain their electromagnetic systems. they used to pull nose hairs; now, the razor-lips.
